Meet the Treble Makers!

Meet the Treble Makers!

We welcome children who share our passion for making beautiful music.

Music making requires teamwork, and each chorister is integral to our success. Therefore, our choristers are expected to make a commitment to the choir for the entire school year.

Open enrollment for the Treble Makers begins in August at the start of the academic semester and continues for the first three rehearsals. Children may also join the Treble Makers at the start of the second school semester in January.

The West Virginia Treble Makers embrace diversity, and welcome children from all religious, racial, cultural and economic backgrounds to share our love of music.

Auditions

Our director auditions each child to place him or her in the proper choral section (soprano or alto). Unlike many auditions, we seek to create a positive and relaxed environment to help our director determine the vocal development of our choristers. Children do not need to prepare a song or have any prior musical training to audition.

Auditions may be scheduled directly with the director, or immediately before or after the first three rehearsals of each academic semester.

Tuition

The West Virginia Treble Makers is a non-profit organization. We charge a non-refundable tuition that helps to fund the operating expenses, including music, conductor’s salary, marketing and administrative costs, materials and other expenses. Tuition for the entire season is due even if the child chooses to not participate with the choir at any time during the year.

Tuition can be paid up front or via a payment plan, with a slight premium charged for payment plans. A deposit is due with the registration forms at the first rehearsal. Choristers will also be required to purchase a polo and tote bag.

Options for tuition payment are listed below:

  1. Pay up front: Discounts are available if tuition is paid in full at the start of the semester. Full year tuition will be $400 (due September 15), and half year $225 (due January 15).
